DevIdentity (“we”, “us”) aggregates your public developer activity into a professional portfolio. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your email address and, if you sign in with GitHub, your GitHub username, public profile and email.
- Connected platform data — public data you choose to import from GitHub, Kaggle, Hugging Face, LeetCode, Codeforces, Dev.to, Stack Overflow, arXiv and other sources you connect (repositories, articles, ratings, profile links).
- Profile content — information you add manually, such as your bio, contact links, experience, education and certifications.
- Credentials — OAuth tokens and API keys you provide to connect platforms, stored to perform syncs on your behalf.
- Usage data — basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
- To build and display your developer identity and public portfolio.
- To run AI analysis of your repositories and generate summaries (processed by our AI provider, Groq).
- To sync data from platforms you connect, and to send service emails (via Resend).
- To process subscriptions and payments (via Stripe).
3. Public portfolio
Your portfolio at /u/<username> is public by design — it is meant to be shared with recruiters and the community. Only the fields you choose to populate are shown. You control what is published and can reset your account at any time.
4. Third-party processors
We rely on Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (hosting), Groq (AI analysis), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). Each processes data only to provide their service.
5. GitHub permissions
We request read-only scopes (public_repo, read:user, user:email). We never write to your repositories.
6. Data retention & deletion
You can clear all synced data with Reset Account in Settings, or request full deletion by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, synced data and stored credentials.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by row-level security. Credentials are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
